Product Description

Izhevsk Mosin–Nagant 1891/30 7.62x54R Bolt-Action Rifle, 29 in Barrel, 1942 WWII Round Receiver, with Spike Bayonet

This Izhevsk Arsenal Mosin–Nagant Model 1891/30 is a 1942-dated, WWII-era rifle built with the round receiver and chambered in 7.62x54R. It features a 29 in barrel, a full-length hardwood stock, classic tangent ladder sights, and the correct fixed 5-round internal magazine. Notable Soviet markings are present, and it comes with the M91/30 cruciform spike bayonet and the installed cleaning rod.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.

Bore Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.

Rifling: Good Rifling - Intact, well-defined lands and grooves.

Specific Condition Notes: Given its 1942 manufacture date, this rifle shows heavy signs of prior use typical for a service arm of the period.

    What's Included

    • Mosin–Nagant M91/30 socket-type cruciform spike bayonet (17.5 in.)
    • Mosin–Nagant M91/30 cleaning rod (installed)

Produced at Izhevsk Arsenal in 1942, this 91/30 represents the standard Soviet service configuration of the period with the round receiver and a 29 in barrel. It is chambered in 7.62x54R and uses the correct fixed internal 5-round magazine with a hinged floorplate/trigger guard.

The rifle retains its classic iron sight setup: a hooded front post paired with a tangent rear ladder sight featuring a sliding cursor. This is the correct sighting arrangement for the 91/30 pattern.

The full-length hardwood stock includes an upper handguard, grasping groove, and sling slots. Metalwork is blued, while the bolt is bright and the steel buttplate is left in the white. Length of pull measures 13.5 in.

Markings include the Izhevsk triangle-with-arrow arsenal emblem, a Soviet hammer-and-sickle, and additional small inspector/proof stamps (including a small square). Part numbers are present on major components, with two matching pairs observed: the barrel shank and floorplate are numbered 4816, while the bolt and buttplate are numbered 4315. A separate interrupter/ejector system is present to prevent rimlock during feeding.
