What's Included
- Navy Arms Co. Kentucky Long Rifle .45 caliber percussion muzzleloader
Made by Davide Pedersoli in Italy and imported by Navy Arms, this reproduction stays true to the Kentucky long rifle form with its full-length stock, long octagonal barrel, and traditional percussion ignition. The lockplate and hammer carry a case-colored finish, complemented by brass furniture throughout.
The barrel is 33 inches long with an octagonal profile and .45 caliber bore. Sighting is straightforward and period-appropriate: a dovetailed brass blade front sight pairs with a fixed open rear sight set in a brass base.
The hardwood stock is full-length with a straight wrist and no cheekpiece, and it is brass-mounted, including the patchbox, buttplate with heel spur, trigger guard with rear spur, side plate, nose cap, toe plate, and ramrod thimbles. The external hammer, percussion cap ignition, and single-shot capacity reflect classic muzzleloading operation.
Markings include NAVY ARMS CO., INC., RIDGEFIELD N.J., BLACK POWDER ONLY, MADE IN ITALY, CAL .45, and PEDERSOLI, along with Italian proof marks, the "PN" black powder proof, and a Roman-numeral Italian date code. Light decorative border engraving on the lockplate and hammer adds a tasteful factory touch. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
