The forged steel slide wears a black Armory Kote finish, while the forged aluminum-alloy frame is black anodized to reduce weight without sacrificing strength. An integral 3-slot accessory rail is machined into the dust cover, and the slide is marked "CHAMPION OPERATOR CAL .45."
The 4.0 in barrel is a bushingless, ramped bull design with full chamber support. A captive recoil system is used and requires a takedown tool for disassembly. A barrel-hood witness hole serves as a loaded-chamber indicator.
Sight setup is a fixed, low-mount tritium 3-dot system with a Trijicon tritium front blade and a dovetailed rear. The slide features rear serrations only, plus a lowered and flared ejection port for consistent case clearance.
Controls include single-action operation with an ambidextrous manual thumb safety and a grip safety.
