The receiver ring bears the "T.C. AS.FA ANKARA K. KALE" marking with a 1942 date and the Turkish crescent-and-star motif, identifying wartime Kırıkkale production. These K.Kale receivers are large-ring externally but use small-shank barrel threads, a detail noted by collectors and armorers.
The rifle uses a Mauser 98-pattern bolt action with an external claw extractor, three locking lugs, a straight bolt handle, and a three-position wing safety. It feeds from a 5-round internal box magazine and is set up for stripper-clip loading.
It retains the long 29.1 in barrel and iron sights appropriate to the pattern: an unhooded pyramid/post front sight and a tangent ladder rear sight graduated to 2,000 m. This sighting arrangement matches the long-rifle configuration.
The hardwood stock is a continuous one-piece fore-end with the rear sight inletted into the stock (no separate upper handguard), a Turkish nose cap with forward bayonet lug/bar, a middle barrel band with sling loop, and a bottom sling swivel at the toe. A buttstock disassembly disk is present, and the length of pull measures 13.0.
Included is a Turkish M1935-type knife bayonet with a single fuller and wood grip scales, along with its steel scabbard. The bayonet interfaces with the forward lug/bar on the rifle's nose cap, completing the period-correct setup.
