The rifle features a 21 in barrel and an internal 5-round box magazine loaded by chargers. The action is Mauser-type with a rear bolt-shroud safety in its original design, and the bolt is left in the white; overall finish shows significant wear with the receiver and floorplate/trigger guard largely in the white and only some components retaining blue.
Iron sights consist of a hooded front post and a tangent-leaf rear sight set into a recess in the wood handguard. This sighting setup provides a period-correct configuration consistent with Spanish service short rifles.
The hardwood stock incorporates a crossbolt and a left-side sling system with a front barrel-band loop and an inletted steel sling bar in the buttstock. This left-side carry arrangement reflects Spanish military practice and complements the compact short-rifle format.
