- Williams rear aperture/ghost-ring sight (installed)
- Clamp-on hammer spur extension (installed)
The 336W uses a side-eject, solid-top receiver made of carbon steel with a matte blued finish. It includes a cross-bolt safety with a red "fire" indicator and a 13.5 inch length of pull. A full-length receiver-top Picatinny rail is installed for mounting the included Williams aperture sight.
The 20 inch carbon steel barrel is roll-marked "THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. ILION, NEW YORK, U.S.A. MOD. 336W MICRO-GROOVE BARREL CAL. 30/30 WIN." and features Micro-Groove rifling.
The bore is bright and clean with excellent rifling.
Sighting equipment includes a hooded ramp front bead and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear leaf, along with the Williams aperture/ghost-ring rear sight mounted to the receiver rail. This setup provides clear, fast sight alignment while retaining the factory front bead.
The rifle feeds from a full-length under-barrel tubular magazine secured by two barrel bands and offers a 5+1 capacity. The side-eject design and solid-top receiver pair well with the installed rail and sight configuration.
The walnut-stained hardwood stock and matching fore-end feature a pistol-grip profile, pressed diamond-pattern checkering, and sling-swivel studs. A clamp-on hammer spur extension is fitted for easier hammer access. Production details include an MR-prefix laser-etched serial with an adjacent 2D code, aligning with Remington-era manufacture in the United States.
