The PPQ 45 was Walther's first production .45 ACP pistol, delivering a 12+1 capacity in a double-stack format while retaining the PPQ M2 control layout. This example is the M2 variant with a push-button, reversible magazine release and ambidextrous slide stop levers for flexible handling.
Durability is bolstered by Tenifer (QPQ) nitriding on the slide, barrel, and internal parts. The matte black finish pairs with front and rear slide serrations for confident manipulation. The 4.25-inch barrel uses a 1:16 twist and receives the same nitrided treatment for corrosion and wear resistance.
The striker-fired Quick Defense trigger is pre-cocked with a short, tactile reset and an approximate 5.6 lb pull, supported by a trigger safety. The polymer frame includes a textured grip with finger grooves and interchangeable backstraps to tailor the fit.
Sight alignment is straightforward with low-profile 3-dot iron sights. The front sight is interchangeable for height, and the rear sight is drift-adjustable in a dovetail. A MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny accessory rail with multiple slots on the dustcover supports common illumination and aiming accessories.
