The M3000 Defense uses Stoeger’s inertia-driven, semi-automatic action and is chambered for both 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch 12 gauge shells as marked (12–76). Its 19-inch steel barrel is unthreaded with a Cyl Choke, delivering a true cylinder bore. The extended 7+1 magazine tube brings capacity to eight rounds total and terminates near flush with the muzzle for a balanced defensive layout.
Target acquisition is aided by a raised front blade with a colored insert and a receiver-mounted ghost-ring rear sight that is adjustable for windage and elevation, with protective wings. The receiver is drilled and tapped, and a Picatinny rail is installed from the factory setup for mounting compatible optics or accessories as desired.
Controls are straightforward and duty-focused: a cylindrical bolt handle, an enlarged rectangular bolt-release pad, and a cross-bolt safety. This model retains a 14.5 inch length of pull and a ventilated recoil pad to help manage recoil while maintaining a consistent mount.
Construction is robust and lightweight, pairing a matte-black aluminum-alloy receiver with a matte-black steel barrel and black polymer furniture, including a synthetic forend. Sling attachment points are provided at the front and an integral eyelet at the rear of the stock. Marked STOEGER–TURKEY, this shotgun is manufactured in Turkey and finished in a uniform matte black.
