The Model 15-2 VH features Dan Wesson's interchangeable, tensioned barrel system with a muzzle nut and user-settable barrel/cylinder gap. This example is configured with the 8-inch Ventilated Heavy barrel/shroud, combining a vent rib and full underlug for the signature VH profile in chrome-moly steel.
The blued frame is investment-cast steel with a solid, no-sideplate design. It uses a front-mounted crane latch, and the cylinder release is located on the crane. The revolver has a fluted six-shot cylinder and operates in double-action/single-action with an exposed, wide serrated spur hammer.
Sights include a ramp front sight with an orange/red insert and a square-notch, screw-adjustable rear sight. The sight blades are interchangeable, allowing configured sight picture changes as needed.
Stocks are one-piece, checkered hardwood in a target-style profile with a gold DW medallion. Chambered in .357 Magnum, it also accepts .38 Special ammunition. This U.S.-made revolver carries the Monson, Massachusetts rollmark and was manufactured in 1981.
