The MT6830 pairs a 16-inch lightweight-profile barrel with a non-threaded muzzle and a pinned A2 front sight base. It uses carbine-length ribbed polymer handguards, giving this model a hybrid layout alongside its fixed A2 buttstock. A2 iron sights are standard, with the integral carry-handle rear assembly, brass deflector, and forward assist on the upper.
The lower receiver is characteristic of the mid-1990s Colt pattern, including the large-pin front pivot screw and a sear-block cross-pin. The CLH-prefix serial range is associated with Colt’s 7.62x39 Match Target Lightweight series. Both upper and lower are forged aluminum alloy with a hardcoat anodized finish.
