The receiver is marked "Maverick Arms Inc., Eagle Pass, TX, Made in USA — 88 — 12 GA" and the barrel retains its original marking "chambered for 2 3/4 and 3 in. shells — 12 GA — 28 in. Modified choke." The barrel has been trimmed to 22 inches; as a result, the muzzle now measures cylinder bore. The barrel is plain (no rib), and there is no front bead sight.
This Model 88 uses a pump-action with right-side ejection and a cross-bolt safety. It feeds from a 5+1 tube magazine with a standard cap and barrel lug, providing a simple, proven setup. The chamber accepts both 2 3/4-inch and 3-inch 12-gauge shells.
Furniture includes a black synthetic pistol grip with "MOSS" molded lettering and a ribbed black synthetic fore-end for a secure grasp. A sling loop is located at the base of the pistol grip with a receiver-to-grip sling plate. The metal carries a blued/black finish.
The bore presents in excellent condition with a clean, mirror-bright interior. Overall fit and markings align with the Maverick 88’s Mossberg-pattern design produced in Eagle Pass, Texas.
