The SAM7K is built on a forged-and-milled steel receiver with the characteristic lightening cut, a durable foundation paired with a long-stroke gas piston system and rotating bolt. Its short "Krinkov"-style gas system and combo front sight/gas block contribute to the compact package.
The 8.5-inch barrel is chrome-lined, cold-hammer-forged, and threaded, and a cylindrical knurled muzzle device is installed. The pistol features black polymer ribbed handguards and a black polymer pistol grip with horizontal grooves, all in a uniform black finish.
Sight alignment is straightforward with a protected front post on the combo front sight/gas block and a rear peep/aperture sight mounted on the top cover. A left-side AK optics rail is present, and a short Picatinny rail adapter with mounting hardware is included.
