The Legion SAO configuration offers a crisp, single-action-only trigger with a flat face, an ambidextrous manual thumb safety, and a left-side magazine release. Front and rear cocking serrations on the slide provide confident manipulation.
The sighting system uses tritium 3-dot night sights. The front sight features a bright green ring and is marked TG-H3, with an approximate 6.3 in sight radius for a clear sight picture in varied light.
The pistol wears the Legion gray finish on both slide and frame. Black textured grip panels with Legion medallions enhance control, and the extended beavertail frame supports a secure, high grip.
An integral 3-slot accessory rail on the dust cover accommodates compatible lights or other rail-mounted accessories. The top of the slide is marked "LEGION" with the chevron emblem, and the frame is marked "SIG SAUER INC., NEWINGTON–NH–USA."
This full-size .45 ACP model has a 4.4 in barrel and measures approximately 7.7 in long, 5.5 in high, and 1.3 in wide. Stated capacity is up to 10+1, and it includes both extended 10-round and flush 8-round factory magazines, each SIG SAUER P220-45 stamped.
