This Custom Target II is a Government-length 1911 with a 5 inch barrel and a traditional bushing and standard plug recoil system. The steel frame and slide wear a blued finish, and the frame is roll-marked 'YONKERS NY USA'. It is a Series II pistol with a firing pin block safety, operating in single-action, short-recoil 1911 fashion.
The sighting setup is built for precision: a fully adjustable, serrated target-style rear sight with windage and elevation screws pairs with a fixed front blade featuring a single white dot. The slide includes front and rear cocking serrations, an internal extractor, and a lowered and flared ejection port.
Ergonomics and controls include a beavertail grip safety with a raised memory bump, a flat checkered mainspring housing, a smooth front strap, and a thumb safety. The pistol uses a lightweight, long, three-hole trigger and a skeletonized Commander-style hammer.
Grips are double-diamond checkered wood with a 'U.S.' cartouche, secured by gold-tone grip screws. Capacity is 8+1 rounds of .45 ACP, and this example includes one 8-round magazine and one 7-round magazine, with one magazine fitted with an extended base pad.
