This MCX-SPEAR is chambered in 7.62 NATO (7.62x51) with a 16-inch barrel, 1:10 twist, rotating bolt, and a short-stroke gas piston system. A two-position adjustable gas valve (normal/suppressed) allows quick tuning for ammunition and conditions. The barrel is capped with a 3-prong flash hider and is marked "7.62 NATO" and "NATO 1/10."
Controls and handling are emphasized with a dual charging setup: a left-side non-reciprocating charging handle plus a traditional rear charging handle. The rifle includes ambidextrous safety, bolt catch/release, and magazine release. Capacity is 10+1, and it accepts widely available SR-25/LR-308 pattern magazines.
The free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard with a continuous top Picatinny rail provides a rigid, lightweight interface for accessories. The alloy receiver carries a uniform coyote/tan finish and is marked "SIGMCX-SPEAR MULTI-CALIBER" and "SIG SAUER INC, NEWINGTON, NH USA."
