The Alaskan configuration centers on a 20 inch medium-contour stainless barrel and express-style sights optimized for dangerous-game use. The front is a large white bead on a barrel-band ramp, paired with a windage-adjustable shallow V-notch rear on a barrel island for rapid alignment.
The barrel is factory threaded and fitted with Ruger’s radial-port brake. The Ruger Muzzle Brake System allows the user to swap between the included brake, a solid muzzle weight, or a thread protector to tailor recoil management and blast to the task.
The stainless receiver features integral scope bases machined in, providing a direct interface for Ruger rings. A Mauser-type controlled-round-feed extractor and fixed blade ejector support reliable feeding and ejection, and the internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate offers a 3+1 capacity.
The Hogue OverMolded black synthetic stock provides a straight comb, textured gripping surfaces, sling swivel studs, and a soft rubber recoil pad. Controls include Ruger’s LC6 trigger and a three-position safety. The rifle wears a matte stainless finish with markings: "RUGER M77 HAWKEYE," "375 RUGER," and "RUGER, NEWPORT, NH U.S.A."
