- Three 7-round factory SIG SAUER P239 .40 S&W single-stack steel magazines
The P239 was designed as a slim, single-stack compact for concealed or plainclothes use. This example is chambered in .40 S&W with a 3.6 in barrel, 7+1 capacity, and a measured sight radius of 5.20 in. It has no accessory rail on the dust cover, preserving the model’s streamlined profile.
Its aluminum alloy frame is black hard-coat anodized and marked FRAME MADE IN GERMANY – SAUER with a DE country code, paired with a black Nitron-finished slide with rear serrations only. Additional markings include SIG SAUER INC., EXETER – NH. The two-piece textured polymer grip panels and external spurred hammer complete the classic P239 configuration.
Operation is recoil-operated, locked-breech, and hammer-fired DA/SA. The pistol incorporates a decocking lever and SIG’s four-point safety system, which includes a firing-pin block, decocker, intercept notch, and disconnector. Low-profile 3-dot iron sights are installed, with bases marked "MH3."
Key dimensions include an overall length of 6.60 in, height of 5.2 in, width of 1.20 in, and a weight of 29.5 oz with magazine. This model was discontinued circa 2018, and caliber conversion between .40 S&W and .357 SIG is possible via a barrel swap with appropriate magazines. The included factory case’s serialized label matches the frame’s serial.
