The Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket is a compact, striker-fired, single-action pistol built on a steel frame and finished in Colt's high-polish blue (Carbona) typical of the era. Manufactured in 1929 in the United States, this pre-WWII example reflects the factory's Model N designation for the series.
Period details are well represented, including case-colored small parts (trigger, grip safety, and thumb safety) and checkered walnut grips with silver Colt medallions. The slide carries rear-only vertical serrations, with a small front blade and an integral rear notch for the fixed sights. Please note: the grip screws are not installed.
Chambered in .25 ACP (6.35mm), the pistol uses a simple blowback system with a hammerless profile. Safety features include a manual thumb safety, a grip safety integrated into the backstrap, and a magazine disconnect safety.
The 2-inch barrel and micro size make this a classic vest-pocket format. It feeds from a 6-round single-stack magazine and uses a heel-type magazine catch at the butt, consistent with the model's period design.
Markings include the left slide's two-line Colt address/patent legend with the rampant Colt behind the serrations and the right slide marked "COLT AUTOMATIC CALIBRE 25." A triangular proof is present on the left front of the trigger guard.
