It stands out with a government-length 5-inch barrel capped by a single-port compensator, a slide direct-milled for a Trijicon SRO, and compatibility with Glock 17-pattern double-stack magazines for a stated 17+1 capacity. The pistol features a full-length MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail, two-tone black with gold/tan accents, and comes in excellent condition.

The Comp submodel pairs a government-length barrel with a single-port compensator to manage muzzle rise while preserving the classic 5-inch profile. The slide includes front and rear cocking serrations, a lowered and flared ejection port, and a side relief window.
The slide is milled for a Trijicon SRO direct mount. No iron sights are installed, and an SRO-marked cover plate is installed and included, as noted in the condition details.
The frame provides a full-length MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny accessory rail and an integrated flared magazine well with the SA logo for faster reloads. Textured/tiled grip panels offer secure purchase, and controls include an ambidextrous thumb safety, a grip safety, and a left-side magazine release.
Chambered in 9mm Luger, the Platypus 17 Comp accepts Glock 17-pattern double-stack magazines for a stated 17+1 capacity. The flat, skeletonized trigger shoe supports the pistol’s single-action operation. Markings include “1911 GOV PLATYPUS 17.”
