Refurbished under the Czech VOP 91 program, this vz. 52 bears the VOP 91 arsenal refurbishment stamp along with period acceptance and proof markings. It is a Cold-War surplus example manufactured in Czechoslovakia in 1954, offering matching numbers on the major components.
The vz. 52’s roller-locked, short-recoil mechanism and single-action operation set it apart mechanically. A combined, frame-mounted manual safety/decocker provides safe handling, while a heel-type magazine catch reflects the original service configuration. A lanyard loop and a knurled takedown plunger at the front of the trigger guard round out the military-oriented features.
Construction is all-steel with ribbed brown phenolic grip panels secured by a central steel retaining band. The slide uses vertical rear serrations for positive manipulation. Sighting equipment includes a fixed front blade and a drift-adjustable rear notch for precise zeroing.
Chambered in 7.62x25mm Tokarev, it sports a 4.7 in barrel and an 8+1 capacity. The included steel single-stack magazines are correct pattern with elongated diagonal witness slots, and the Czech leather flap holster features an external pouch for a spare magazine.
