The P245 is a compact member of the P220 family engineered around a single-stack .45 ACP magazine for an 8+1 capacity. Built on an alloy frame with a matte black finish, it pairs a 3.9 inch barrel with a short-recoil, locked-breech, tilting-barrel operating system. The external hammer and DA/SA trigger are paired with a decocker for traditional Sig handling.
This example reflects the original non-railed compact frame and rounded trigger guard design. The slide wears rear serrations only and a matching matte black finish, keeping controls and surfaces streamlined and familiar to P220 users.
Factory 3-dot tritium night sights are installed, with a green front lamp and green rear lamps for a consistent sight picture. Markings include "MADE IN GERMANY" and "SIGARMS INC., EXETER–NH," underscoring its German manufacture and U.S. import lineage from the era.
Grips are textured polymer panels marked "SIG SAUER/P245," providing secure purchase without bulk. The package is rounded out by a notable magazine set: one 8-round P220-stamped and seven 6-round P245-stamped factory steel magazines, including both flush-fit and finger-rest baseplates for carry or range flexibility.
Produced in the late 1990s through the mid-2000s and later discontinued in favor of the P220 Carry/Compact line, the P245 offers collectors and Sig enthusiasts a compact, German-made .45 ACP with hallmark Sig DA/SA ergonomics and night sights in a clean, straightforward configuration.
