This LWRC International IC-DIADEM The Well Armed Woman Edition is a limited-run, factory-engraved AR-15 with distinctive features and documented provenance. Produced as a collaborative LWRCI/TWAW project beginning in July 2017 with an estimated 1,000 units, it carries TWAW-specific branding and a purple trigger shoe, and earned the 2018 NRA Shooting Illustrated Women’s Innovation Product of the Year award.

This limited-edition IC-DIADEM is a documented collaboration between LWRC International and The Well Armed Woman, introduced in July 2017 with an estimated initial run of approximately 1,000 rifles. It is factory-engraved with the TWAW roundel on the magwell and “IC-DIADEM 5.56mm | The Well Armed Woman” on the upper receiver. Receivers are marked Cambridge, MD, USA, underscoring U.S. manufacture and the model’s collector-focused provenance.
Built on LWRCI’s IC-DI direct-impingement architecture, the rifle features an LWRCI-marked nickel-boron coated bolt carrier with an integral gas key for smooth cycling and ease of maintenance. The 16-inch spiral-fluted, NiCorr-treated steel barrel is threaded and capped with an A2 flash hider. Chambered in 5.56mm NATO with a 30+1 capacity, it balances durability and performance in a lightweight profile.
Controls and interface are fully modern, with ambidextrous safety and bolt catch, plus an ambidextrous charging handle. A compact free-float aluminum handguard includes LWRCI bolt-on grip panels and a hand stop, while the upper receiver has a T-marked Picatinny rail and the handguard provides short 1913 rail sections (not a continuous top rail). Flip-up iron sights are installed.
Ergonomics are enhanced by an adjustable Magpul CTR 6-position stock with an approximate length of pull from 10.5 to 14 inches and an ERGO overmolded pistol grip. The hard-anodized black aluminum receivers and monoforge upper deliver a rigid, consistent platform. A TWAW-specific purple trigger shoe and the factory TWAW branding distinguish this edition from standard IC-DI models.
