The SDP Compact is a Swiss-made, KRISS USA–imported pistol marked "MADE IN SWITZERLAND" with import stamps from "KRISS USA, Inc., Virginia Beach, VA." The frame is marked SDP Compact, and the chamber is marked 9 PARA. This example comes in a matte FDE/bronze finish on both the slide and frame.
Its DA/SA operating system uses an exposed hammer with a bilateral decocker and an internal firing pin block. There is no manual safety. Controls are laid out for confident handling while retaining a streamlined profile.
The slide rides inside the frame on reverse/inverted rails, and an external extractor is fitted. The modular construction uses a metal upper frame mated to a polymer wrap-around grip shell with finger grooves, and the pistol ships with additional factory backstrap/grip inserts for fit tuning.
Sights include a front post and a drift-adjustable, dovetailed rear notch. An integral four-slot Picatinny accessory rail on the dustcover provides mounting space for compatible lights or lasers. Capacity is 15+1 in 9mm Luger using magazines marked Made in Italy.
