It is chambered for both 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells and uses a detachable 2-round magazine for a 2+1 capacity. Blued steel construction and a hardwood stock with a WesternField-branded ventilated recoil pad round out this full-size, magazine-fed bolt gun.

The Model M172B is a magazine-fed, bolt-action 12-gauge shotgun with a 2+1 capacity. It features an open-top receiver for straightforward loading and a right-side bolt handle with a round knob. A rear-of-bolt sliding safety provides a simple, accessible control.
The 26-inch steel barrel is equipped with a C-LECT-CHOKE adjustable system at the muzzle, allowing on-gun choke adjustment. Sight alignment is bead-only, with a front bead and no rear sight, keeping the setup clean and familiar for field use.
Stock furniture is hardwood with a straight comb and a slight pistol grip. A WesternField-branded ventilated rubber recoil pad is installed, and the length of pull measures 13.5. Overall size is full-size for a traditional shotgun fit.
