The GF3 series is known for its durability upgrades, specifically the forged front trunnion, bolt, and carrier. This rifle follows the AKM pattern with a stamped receiver that includes magazine-well dimples and a ribbed stamped top cover. Selector markings are S / A / F.
The folding stock is a left-side hinged Hungarian/AMD-style wire design made of metal, pairing a compact profile with a 12.5 in length of pull. The furniture is tan polymer, with a ribbed lower handguard for a secure grasp; the upper handguard/gas tube area is bare black metal (no polymer upper cover).
The 16.25 in barrel is threaded and equipped with an AK open-ear front sight post and a tangent rear sight. A bayonet lug is present. The rifle has a matte black finish, and the receiver is stamped steel in matte black. The cleaning rod is not present.
Operation is semi-automatic with a long-stroke gas piston system and a manual safety lever. It accepts detachable AK/AKM-pattern magazines and ships with one 30-round polymer magazine.
