Built on the K-frame square-butt, this no-dash Model 14 is a United States–made, carbon-steel revolver with a high-polish blued finish. The left side of the frame carries the S&W crest with TRADE MARK, and the right side shows the MADE IN U.S.A. markings. The yoke is marked 'MOD-14,' aligning with its 1959 production within the K-38 Target Masterpiece series.
The pinned 6-inch tapered barrel has a narrow serrated rib and period-correct rollmarks: 'SMITH & WESSON' on the left and '.38 S.& W. SPECIAL CTG.' on the right. Target sighting is provided by an adjustable rear sight and a front sight suitable for target work.
Action is double-action/single-action with a six-shot fluted cylinder. It retains the unshrouded ejector rod with a knurled/checkered tip and a checkered cylinder-release latch. A wide target-style, color-casehardened hammer and a color-casehardened trigger are installed for enhanced control; the original hammer and trigger are included.
Grips are checkered walnut Magna stocks with S&W medallions and a diamond around the screw. Period factory rollmarks and trademarks are present, supporting the revolver's K-38 Target Masterpiece identity and 1950s era configuration.
