The USP 9 is a proven full-size platform built around short-recoil, Browning-type operation with HK's internal recoil reduction system. This example uses a standard-length, non-threaded 4.25 inch barrel that is cold hammer-forged with polygonal rifling, providing a clean, mirror-bright bore.
It has been set up to run as an SAO pistol with the safety deleted. Controls include an external hammer, a left-side slide stop, and an ambidextrous paddle-style magazine release. As an SAO configuration, there is no double-action first shot.
An HK Jet Funnel magwell is installed. This flared magwell is designed for the Jet Funnel translucent magazines and enables an 18+1 capacity with the included 18-round factory magazines.
Ergonomics feature a tan polymer frame with molded stippling, paired with a black slide. The proprietary USP accessory rail is molded into the dustcover. Sighting is straightforward with a fixed front blade with dot and a fixed rear square-notch in a dovetail.
Markings and origin details include "Heckler & Koch GmbH Made in Germany" with DE and CIP N proofs. The slide is marked "HK" and "USP," and the barrel hood is marked "9 mm x 19." Matching serial numbers are observed on the slide, barrel, and frame.
