The SP101’s brushed stainless frame, cylinder, and barrel deliver a cohesive look and durable finish. The heavy barrel shroud with full underlug adds mass under the bore and fully protects the ejector rod. A push-button cylinder release on the left rear of the frame and a star-shaped extractor support smooth loading and ejection.
Its 2.25-inch stainless barrel keeps the package compact while retaining the model’s hallmark solidity. Fixed sights consist of an integral rear notch paired with a pinned, serrated ramp front blade; the front sight is replaceable if a different blade is desired.
The revolver operates in double-action/single-action with an exposed hammer featuring a checkered spur for positive control. A smooth-faced trigger complements the action for consistent press. Black rubber grips with ribbed black polymer insert panels provide a secure, hand-filling hold.
Markings include RUGER SP101 and .357 MAGNUM CAL rollmarks, along with the Ruger phoenix logo on the frame. Made in the United States, this example reflects the early 1990s production era and remains clean and well cared for.
