The M&P15 Sport II is an AR-15 pattern, direct-impingement semi-automatic rifle chambered in 5.56mm NATO. It uses a flat-top upper receiver with Picatinny T-marks and includes a forward assist, ejection-port cover, and brass deflector. Receivers are aluminum with a hard-anodized finish.
The 16" barrel is marked "5.56 NATO 1/9" and features a 1:9 twist. The muzzle is threaded and fitted with an A2-style flash suppressor. This configuration offers standard compatibility with AR-pattern muzzle devices.
This rifle has been customized with a carbine-length, two-piece aluminum quad-rail handguard featuring numbered slots and a delta ring. A polymer angled foregrip is installed, providing a ready-to-use accessory setup on the front end.
Furniture includes a 6-position, telescoping M4-style polymer stock with an S&W medallion and an A2-pattern polymer pistol grip. Iron sights consist of an A2-style fixed front sight base and a polymer flip-up rear sight.
The rifle uses the AR-15 pattern detachable box magazine interface with a stated capacity of 30+1. Markings include a prominent "M&P 15" roll mark and S&W text on the top rail. Made in the United States.
