The M4 Tactical 11707 configuration pairs a 12 gauge, 18.5 in steel barrel with a 5+1 tubular magazine capped by a knurled end cap. It is chambered for 2 3/4 in and 3 in shells, with barrel markings noting 12 GA 3 in (76 mm). Factory overall length is approximately 40 in and weight is about 7.8 lb.
Its operating system is Benelli’s A.R.G.O. short-stroke dual-piston gas design, developed for the USMC and fielded as the M1014. This system is purpose-built for duty use and is a defining feature of the platform.
Sighting equipment includes a protected front post and an adjustable LPA ghost-ring rear sight with protective wings; the rear sight base is marked LPA Italy. The hard-anodized black aluminum receiver carries a full-length MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail.
The shotgun uses an interchangeable screw-in choke system. A Modified choke is installed, and two additional tubes are included: another Modified and a Full. The barrel is threaded for Benelli choke tubes.
Furniture and controls are duty-focused: a fixed synthetic pistol-grip stock with an integral sling slot, a two-piece ribbed polymer forend, and a cross-bolt safety with a red indicator.
