This Springfield Armory Hellion is a modern 5.56 NATO bullpup based on the HS Produkt VHS-2 pattern, combining a compact overall length with a 16 inch barrel. It features a short-stroke gas piston system, reversible ejection, a two-position gas block for normal or suppressed use, and integrated flip-up diopter sights. This example is in excellent condition and includes a soft case, manual, and a 30-round PMAG.

The Hellion’s bullpup configuration delivers a compact package with an approximate overall length of 28.2–29.7 inches while retaining a 16 inch barrel. Weight is about 8 lb, providing a solid, controllable feel without excess bulk. The adjustable butt assembly allows changes to overall length and length of pull to suit the shooter.
The 16 inch chrome-moly-vanadium barrel is nitride treated and threaded 1/2x28, capped with a 4-prong flash hider. Rifling is 1:7 RH to support a broad range of 5.56 NATO projectiles. The short-stroke gas piston system is paired with a two-position gas block marked N/S for normal or suppressed settings.
Controls and configurability are standout features. The rifle offers user-configurable reversible ejection, a folding left-side charging handle, and a manual safety. It accepts STANAG/AR-pattern magazines for broad compatibility and straightforward support gear integration.
Sighting and accessory interfaces are well executed. A full-length numbered Picatinny rail is integrated into the carry handle and pairs with flip-up diopter rear and hooded front sights. The polymer forend provides M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. Markings include HELLION with a trident and the Springfield Armory crest, plus import and origin markings reading Springfield Armory Geneseo, IL, and HS Produkt – Made in Croatia.
