The DDM4 V7 is built on 7075-T6 aluminum receivers with a hard-coat anodized finish and a direct impingement, semi-automatic action. Its mid-length gas system pairs with a 16-inch, cold hammer-forged, government-profile barrel for smooth operation. The barrel is threaded.
The free-float Daniel Defense MFR 15.0 M aluminum handguard provides M-LOK attachment slots along its length and integrates cleanly with a full-length T-marked Picatinny top rail. A forward assist, case deflector, and ejection-port dust cover are present, and the bolt carrier bears the Daniel Defense logo.
Fixed iron sights are installed, with the front sight mounted on the top rail and a Daniel Defense fixed rear sight. A short vertical foregrip is also installed, complementing the 15.0-inch rail for a stable support hand index.
Daniel Defense furniture includes the stock with textured cheek panels and QD sling sockets, plus a DD pistol grip with a textured surface and DD-logo base cap. An ambidextrous safety is fitted. Capacity is 32+1, and one 32-round polymer magazine is included.
