The CS v3 format delivers a compact 2011 platform with a 16+1 capacity using proprietary CS magazines, offering a slim grip module with aggressive texture and a modestly flared magwell. The frame is v3-marked, and the pistol includes a single-slot accessory rail for compact lights.
Its 3.5 in stainless steel bull barrel uses a fluted hood, working with the Dawson-designed dual-spring, dual-guide-rod recoil system to manage reciprocation and promote consistent cycling. The external hammer, single-action operation, and aluminum, curved, skeletonized trigger are configured for a clean, familiar 2011 trigger feel.
The slide wears a durable black DLC finish with front and rear serrations and an external extractor. The 7075 aluminum frame is also finished in black DLC. Controls include a checkered magazine release, ambidextrous thumb safeties, and a grip safety.
Sighting components are straightforward and fast: a green fiber-optic front pairs with a black serrated square-notch rear. A small, factory-applied U.S. flag engraving appears on the left side of the frame ahead of the trigger. Approximate dimensions are 7.1 in length, 5.6 in height, and 1.2 in grip width, with an unloaded weight of about 22.7 oz. Made in the USA, in Florence, Texas.
