Built by Carl Walther in Germany, this Colt-licensed rimfire 1911 mirrors the full-size Government configuration, including 1911-pattern controls and an external hammer. It is a single-action-only, straight blowback design with a fixed 5 inch steel barrel mounted to the frame for consistent alignment.
The construction pairs a cast zinc-alloy frame with a steel-reinforced zinc-alloy slide and a steel barrel assembly. The slide carries rear-only, vertical serrations. The finish is matte, and German CIP proof marks are present along with the importer marking from Walther Arms in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Sights are iron, with a fixed, dovetailed front blade and a notched, dovetailed rear that adjusts for windage via a set screw. The solid trigger, grip safety, and thumb safety follow the 1911 platform layout. Double-diamond checkered grip panels complete the classic look and feel.
This Government Model is full-size at approximately 8.7 inches long, 5.5 inches high, and 1.4 inches wide, weighing about 2.0 pounds without the magazine. Capacity is 10+1 with the included steel single-stack magazine.
