The Alaskan variant pairs a matte stainless steel receiver and 20 inch stainless barrel with the Ruger Muzzle Brake System. The barrel is threaded 5/8x24 and capped with a radial-port brake, with a 1:10 RH twist suited to common .30 caliber projectile lengths in this chambering. Capacity is 3+1 via the internal box magazine.
Ruger’s controlled-round-feed action uses a non-rotating Mauser-type extractor for positive pickup and ejection. The rifle includes the LC6 single-stage trigger and a three-position wing safety for intuitive operation at the bolt shroud.
The Hogue OverMolded black synthetic stock provides a secure, textured hold and is finished with a rubber recoil pad. Sling swivel studs are installed, and a barrel band with a forward sling swivel boss supports practical carry. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
Open sights come standard, with a ramped front sight and an adjustable rear barrel sight. The receiver has integral scope bases machined in, and Ruger factory rings are included to mount an optic if desired. The overall finish is matte stainless for low glare, and this rifle was manufactured in 2024 in the United States as part of the Hawkeye series.
