The Alaskan variant pairs a matte stainless steel receiver and 20 inch stainless barrel with the Ruger Muzzle Brake System. The barrel is threaded 5/8x24 and capped with a radial-port brake, with a 1:10 RH twist suited to common .30 caliber projectile lengths in this chambering.
