The M1911 A1 MS configuration pairs a 4.25-inch Commander-length barrel with a full-size grip frame, delivering the familiar 1911 ergonomics in a mid-length slide setup. It uses a GI bushing barrel and GI recoil spring plug, with rifling cut at a 1:16 right-hand twist and six grooves.
Controls and features are true to GI style: single-action, semi-automatic operation; a standard magazine release; a left-side thumb safety and a grip safety; a short, solid trigger; and a spur, non-skeletonized hammer. The mainspring housing is arched, and the front strap is smooth.
The slide has rear vertical serrations with no front serrations, and the sights are GI fixed pattern, including a staked front blade with a narrow tenon and a fixed rear notch. Both the slide and frame wear a Parkerized finish, and the pistol is fitted with smooth hardwood grip panels.
Markings include the right-side frame legend "M1911 A1 - MS" and "CAL. 45 ACP" on the barrel hood. Import and proof stamping reads "APINTL-PAHRUMP NV ACP PHILIPPINES," reflecting importation by Armscor Precision International and Philippines manufacture. Capacity is 8+1 (per factory spec).
