The GRP Recon configuration adds an integral Picatinny accessory rail to the dust cover, pairing duty-ready functionality with Nighthawk’s hand-fit build quality. The matte black steel slide and frame present a uniform, low-glare finish, and the slide carries "Nighthawk Custom" and "GRP Global Response Pistol" markings.
Sights are set up with a Trijicon tritium front dot featuring an orange ring (marked "H3 19") and a low-profile, serrated fixed rear sight. This setup provides a clean, fast sight picture with durable components.
Controls and ergonomics include an ambidextrous thumb safety, a beavertail grip safety, a checkered magazine release, and a long three-hole aluminum trigger. The front strap and flat mainspring housing are checkered for secure purchase.
Slide features include front and rear serrations for confident manipulation and a lowered, flared ejection port. A skeletonized Commander-style hammer complements the 1911 profile while reducing mass for fast lock time.
