    What’s Included

    • Armi Sport Springfield Model 1861 .58 percussion muzzleloader rifle

Built as a percussion, single-shot muzzleloader, this rifle uses a bolster and cone ignition and is marked BLACK POWDER ONLY. Capacity is one round. The long 40-inch steel barrel contributes to an overall length of approximately 56 inches, delivering the traditional handling of the Model 1861 pattern.

The stock is a full-length hardwood configuration with three spring-retained barrel bands, matching the classic three-band profile. Length of pull measures 13.0 inches. The armory bright finish complements the period styling.

Sights are traditional open types, with a blade front and a flip-up graduated rear leaf for elevation adjustment. The barrel has 3-groove rifling and a 1:65 twist suitable for .58 caliber black powder projectiles.

Markings include the Eagle over U.S. SPRINGFIELD on the lockplate, 1861 dates on both the lockplate and barrel breech/tang, and U.S. on the buttplate tang. The top of the barrel adjacent to the rear sight is stamped ARMI SPORT – ITALY and BLACK POWDER ONLY CAL .58. The AC oval mark is located on the left breech flat adjacent to the serial.

This Italian-made reproduction retains the key identifiers enthusiasts expect on a Model 1861 pattern rifle.
