This Zbrojovka Brno vz. 98/22 is an interwar Czechoslovak long rifle built on the Mauser 98 action and chambered in 8mm Mauser. It carries the three-line Brno crest on the receiver ring, a 29-inch barrel in the long-rifle configuration (approximately 49 inches overall), and classic features including a straight bolt handle, flag safety, and full-length cleaning rod. Import marked by C.A.I. Georgia VT, it also shows small-part stamps consistent with period production.

Specific Condition Notes: The stock shows widespread scratches and blemishes but no cracks. Metal surfaces display widespread finish loss and wear, with pitting observed on some components. Rifling retains definition but exhibits blemishes. Deposits of cosmoline are present on this rifle.

Built at Brno during the interwar period, this vz. 98/22 follows the classic Mauser 98 pattern with a straight bolt handle and flag safety. It uses an internal 5-round box magazine and is stripper-clip fed, staying true to the service configuration of the era. The full-length stock provides the correct long-rifle profile with a separate upper handguard that terminates just ahead of the rear sight base, leaving exposed barrel between the sight base and the rear barrel band.
The receiver ring bears the three-line Brno crest, and the rifle is marked "M98/22 8mm CZECHOSLOVAKIA." An import stamp reading "C.A.I. GEORGIA VT" is present. Small part markings observed include a circled "Z" on the bolt sleeve latch and "32" on the floorplate, adding to its documented details.
Sighting is via an unhooded front blade and a tangent rear ladder graduated 2–20. Hardware includes a steel buttplate, sling swivels, a front barrel band with stacking hook, and the original-style full-length cleaning rod. A bolt-disassembly disk is set into the stock.
