Pre-Mark II (Type II) BAR configuration with long-action magnum performance in .300 Win. Mag., this rifle uses a gas-operated semi-automatic system and offers a 3+1 capacity. It feeds from a detachable box magazine retained by a hinged floorplate assembly.
The 24-inch barrel is crowned, and the rifle has right-side ejection with a small round operating handle. A cross-bolt safety provides straightforward control. The receiver is polished black and drilled and tapped, with a scope base and rings already in place. Comes with 1-inch scope rings installed.
Furniture is walnut with cut checkering, a high-gloss finish, and a Browning black rubber recoil pad. Quick-detach sling swivel studs are fitted front and rear. Length of pull measures 13.6 inches.
The rifle has a high-polish blue finish with no sights currently installed; evidence suggests the factory irons were removed. This example dates to 1990 and reflects the Type II layout known for its classic BAR features.
