The Micro 9 Stainless uses a single-action-only, closed-breech recoil-operated system on a 1911-style platform. Controls include an ambidextrous thumb safety, with internal safety features such as a sear disconnect, firing-pin block, and hammer safety notch. The trigger delivers a consistent single-action pull.
Its 3.15-inch stainless steel barrel is paired with a matte stainless slide featuring rear serrations. The matte silver aluminum alloy frame keeps weight low while maintaining a durable carry-ready build. Rubber wraparound grips with finger grooves and an oval Kimber logo molded into the rubber provide a secure, comfortable hold.
Fixed, dovetailed steel 3-dot sights offer a clear sight picture, with a front dot and low-profile 2-dot rear. Capacity is 7+1, with an overall length of approximately 6.1 inches and an unloaded weight of about 15.6 ounces, making it compact and easy to carry.
Made in the USA, the frame is marked "Yonkers, NY USA," indicating production prior to Kimber's move to Troy, Alabama. The factory box end label reads "MICRO9 STAINLESS" and matches the pistol's serial, and the package includes two Kimber 7-round steel magazines with finger-extension baseplates.
