This Dan Wesson A2 Government model is a U.S.-made, forged-steel 1911 built with hand-fit assembly and Series-70 style lockwork using billet fire-control parts. It features a 5-inch stainless match-grade barrel, a GI-type bushing with short guide rod, and a uniform dark matte finish paired with classic checkered walnut double-diamond grips. The bore is excellent, and it comes with two 8-round Dan Wesson magazines, the factory case, manual, and a bushing wrench.

The forged steel slide and frame are hand fit, and the pistol uses Series-70 style lockwork with billet fire-control parts and no MIM. An arched mainspring housing and a lightly chamfered magazine well retain the Government profile while aiding reloads.
A 5-inch stainless match-grade barrel works within the Browning short-recoil, tilting-barrel system. A GI-type barrel bushing and short guide rod complement the Government-length setup, and the ejection port is lowered and flared for reliable clearance.
Controls include a left-side manual thumb safety, grip safety, a solid trigger, and a spur hammer. Capacity is 8+1 with standard single-stack 1911 magazines.
Sights are fixed 3-dot: a front blade with a single dot and a drift-adjustable rear notch with two dots. The slide has rear-only vertical serrations and a uniform dark matte finish, with A2 slide marking. The frame is marked DAN WESSON FIREARMS NORWICH, NY U.S.A., and the barrel hood is marked MATCH and .45 ACP.
