The foundation is Ruger’s 22 Charger Takedown in .22 LR using the proven 10/22-pattern blowback action and detachable magazines. Its takedown interface lets the barrel and forend separate cleanly from the receiver for compact storage and easy transport. There are no iron sights installed; a one-piece Picatinny rail is mounted over the receiver for optics.
A Volquartsen carbon-fiber tensioned barrel is installed, measuring 13 inches and featuring a threaded muzzle capped with a removable multi-port brake. The free-float aluminum handguard has a scalloped exterior and elongated window that exposes the carbon-fiber sleeve, with a detachable Picatinny segment for mounting accessories on the underside.
Controls and ergonomics are upgraded with a flat-faced trigger shoe featuring a lightening cut and an extended magazine-release lever. The red anodized, skeletonized pistol-grip module includes black overmolded surfaces for a secure hold.
Stability and handling are enhanced by an SB Tactical stabilizing brace mounted on a side-folding hinge, allowing for compact carry when folded. The receiver is aluminum alloy, marked Ruger Newport, NH, USA, and the aluminum handguard keeps the front end light and quick to maneuver.
