The HD variant uses an all-stainless slide and frame with a uniform matte stainless finish. The added mass of the HD configuration is designed to help moderate recoil in this micro-size platform while preserving the P238’s slim, carry-friendly profile.
Chambered in .380 ACP, it runs a locked-breech, single-action-only system with an external hammer, a manual thumb safety, and a left-side push-button magazine release. The 2.7 in barrel keeps the package compact while maintaining reliable function.
