This DSC Chapter Gun variant is defined by its limited production of only 32 units and factory-engraved floorplate. The engraving reads "DSC FOUNDATION" and "DSC CHAPTER GUN __ OF 32," marking it as an official Dallas Safari Club Chapter Gun with documented provenance. The barrel wears the high-color blued finish, while the receiver’s bridges/top surfaces, side flats, and integral ring bases are left bright/in-the-white, complemented by a bright-finish bolt body.
Chambered in .275 Rigby (the British designation for 7x57mm Mauser), it wears a 24-inch barrel and an express sight set: a banded front ramp with bead and a standing rear leaf. The internal box magazine holds 4+1 rounds and feeds through a controlled-feed bolt action, with a hinged floorplate for unloading.
The receiver incorporates Ruger’s integral scope-base cuts, and this rifle includes the matching scope rings. The bolt-action system is the Hawkeye pattern, and this example is identified as Ruger SKU 67110. It was manufactured in 2017 in Newport, NH, USA.
The walnut stock features cut checkering, a contrasting black fore-end tip, and a classic red recoil pad. A barrel-band front sling swivel pairs with a rear stud in the butt, and the length of pull measures 13.5 inches. The combination of configuration, chambering, and factory engraving makes this a distinctive Hawkeye African within a very limited run.
