The manual-safety Ruger-57 (SKU 16401) uses Ruger's Secure Action system: a semi-automatic, recoil-operated, internal hammer-fired design with an ambidextrous manual thumb safety and a trigger safety. Capacity is 20+1 with the included factory magazines.
Barrel construction is alloy steel at 5" length. The black-oxide slide has front and rear serrations, a top lightening/inspection slot, and is drilled and tapped at the rear for optic plates. The black polymer frame carries textured grip panels with the Ruger phoenix logo.
Sight setup is a green fiber-optic front paired with a black screw-adjustable rear for windage and elevation. The trigger is described as short and crisp with a positive reset, and the full-size grip and frame provide a stable shooting platform.
