Smith & Wesson K-22 Masterpiece Pre-Model 17, .22 LR, 6 Inch, 1948 Five-Screw, Blued

It features adjustable target sights, color case-hardened hammer and trigger, and checkered walnut Magna stocks with S&W medallions and diamond around the screw. A matching serial is observed on the cylinder face, and the underside of the barrel carries a Southern Tactical, Arlington, VA importer stamp.

Built on the square-butt K-frame, this K-22 Masterpiece combines a blued carbon-steel frame and cylinder with color case-hardened controls. The six-shot fluted cylinder is paired with a double-action/single-action operating system and a knurled-tip ejector rod.
The 6 inch carbon-steel barrel has a ribbed, serrated top with an under-barrel front locking lug. Sighting is set up for precision with a Patridge front sight on a ramp and a micrometer click-adjustable rear sight, complemented by a serrated topstrap.
Factory stocks are checkered walnut Magna grips with S&W medallions and a diamond around the screw. The large S&W trademark logo is present, and assembly numbers appear on the yoke cut.
Notable identifiers include the early five-screw frame configuration and a matching serial observed on the cylinder face. The underside of the barrel is importer-marked by Southern Tactical, Arlington, VA.
