Notable details include the open-top slide, beveled magwell, lanyard loop, reversible checkered magazine release, and PB monogram proofing. The OEM case is provided; the original form-fitted foam inserts are no longer present.

The M9A4’s 5.1-inch steel barrel is extended and threaded, capped with a knurled protector for ready use with compatible muzzle devices. The open-top slide features front serrations for confident handling, and it is factory optics-ready with a removable cover plate for mounting a compatible red dot if desired.
Controls are set up for practical use: an ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker, a reversible checkered magazine release, and an exposed hammer spur for DA/SA manipulation. The straight Vertec-style aluminum-alloy frame wears thin textured polymer grip panels with Beretta medallions, along with a beveled magazine well, checkered frontstrap and backstrap, and a lanyard loop.
Sight picture comes from H3 3-dot night sights, with a dovetailed replaceable front and a windage-adjustable square-notch rear. An integral 3-slot Picatinny rail on the dust cover supports a wide range of compatible weapon lights or accessories.
Markings include TYPE M9A4 on the frame, plus slide legends reading BERETTA U.S.A. CORP. – GALLATIN, TN and MADE IN USA – 9mm PARA – PATENTED.
