The G26 Gen4 pairs a 3.43 in steel barrel with Glock's polygonal rifling and a right-hand 1:9.84 in (250 mm) twist for dependable 9mm performance in a compact format. The dual captive recoil spring assembly—standard on the G26 across generations and updated in Gen4—enhances durability and helps manage recoil in the subcompact frame.
Gen4 ergonomics include the rough-textured frame with finger grooves and the modular backstrap system, allowing grip size adjustments. An enlarged, reversible magazine release supports left- or right-handed use. The slide features grasping serrations for secure manipulation.
Sights are the factory fixed polymer setup with a white-dot front and a white-outline U-notch rear, providing a clear and familiar sight picture. The pistol uses Glock's Safe Action system and a striker-fired action with a factory-rated trigger.
Origin and markings are well-documented: MADE IN AUSTRIA with the Glock, Inc., Smyrna, GA import mark, a Glock proof on the right side of the slide, and a pentagon proof plus Glock logo over "AT" on the barrel hood. This subcompact double-stack frame does not have an accessory rail and accepts larger-capacity 9mm Glock magazines in addition to the included 10-rounders.
