The BG38-1 engineering code identifies this later variant of the M&P Bodyguard 38, combining an aluminum-alloy upper frame with a polymer lower for a lightweight, durable two-piece construction. The stainless steel barrel and stainless steel cylinder are finished in matte black to match the frame.
